COMMUNITY GRANTS

Our Goals for every community we touch:

  • Use a portion of our profits from wind farms and other generating stations to help schools meet the challenges of shrinking budgets, by encouraging them to retain programs valued by parents, teachers and most importantly, the students.

  • Use a portion of our profits to help existing youth and family agencies survive and...

  • Build new youth and family agencies, creating after-school and summer programs for latch-key kids, occupational labs for teens and young adults and programs that help seniors remain an active part of every community.

Before you sign a lease with anyone else, find out exactly how much of their profits will be staying in your community.

The Grant Process: Having worked with youth and family agencies, we know the Grant Process is a pain-in-the-neck and we swore we wouldn't complicate it with too many rules or long delays. The idea is to get the funds into the hands of good teachers and good youth and family service personnel, not keep it locked up in a bank 1000 miles away.

Here are just a few ideas that pass with flying colors:

  • Want to build a Boys and Girls Club stocked full of computers serving latch key kids? You have our full attention.

  • Want to build a shelter for battered women, pregnant teens, a place for homeless mothers with kids on the street to live until they get back on their feet after some accelerated classes? Let's do it.

  • Got a senior food program or need to build a Rec Center or add services to a local clinic? Works for us.

  • Got an empty wood shop in one of your schools? A football team that used to be? A baseball team that needs some Jerseys or a music class that needs a teacher? We are all ears.

  • Want to set up wind generators on school grounds to provide free electricity? That's possible too, as well as an occupational training class to help the students obtain jobs with their new skills.

Much of this depends on how well you organize your youth to sign up more windy land owners.

If your school needs money, you can start right here by ordering the free CD for kids, complete with classes on learning to carve wind generator blades (great wood shop project) and other renewable energy programs.
