LAND OWNER'S HUNTING RIGHTS
Gold Pact Power is a FUN, FAMILY ORIENTED COMPANY and
we encourage Land Owners with sufficient land to form
Hunting Clubs and/or Sport Shooting Events to continue
doing so, even after the wind farm is commissioned.
There are guidelines for safety around wind turbines and
utility workers, including, but not limited to:
- Landowner is responsible for insurance in the amount of
"Turbine Replacement Cost for each incident." Typically this
can be as low as $5000 or up to $50,000 or more (check with your Agent)
and can be deducted from Land Owner's Rent Royalties.
- Landowner is responsible for posting notice on every gate
whenever a hunting session or season is active. This is to prevent a
stray worker from encountering a stray bullet.
- Landowner must agree that in the event of any incident
that involves either turbine damage or death or injury to any employee,
the right to hunt on the property shall immediately cease.
The goal is to allow Landowners to continue to enjoy their property
and earn revenue along the way and any activity, such as hunting
or motocross or four wheeling for fun should be conducted responsibly
in the presence of expensive equipment and workers.
Gold Pact Power is probably the only Wind Farm Developer that
says "YAHOOO - Is deer season open again?" (GPP employees and affiliates who are PETA members excepted and (ahem) are not invited to attend events)
