There are a few rules along the way:
- First, would you like to have wind farm under your belt on your own property? Reps can't sign up their own wind farm, so you'll need to get another Rep to handle your package.
- Next, if you don't do anything after 90 days we reserve the right to unplug your web site. Most folks do fine, but about 1 in 4 do absolutely nothing and waste our time.
- You will need to sign nondisclosure forms so we don't teach you and turn you into a competitor.
- We pay the highest commissions in the industry (20% of net profits). We then match that again
by donating an equal amount to local schools, youth and family agencies through the GPP Grant program. If a wind farm's net profits are $1,000,000 (small farm), you'll earn about $200,000.00 a year.
If a wind farm earns $50,000,000.00 in net profits, (large farm), you'd earn about $10,000,000 a year.
Results will vary.
- If you quit after getting a bunch of wind farms under your belt, you receive your commissions from your projects
for life. If you have a good, honest, hard working staff of Reps servicing your area that you've trained and continue to do a great job you keep your territory too. Otherwise, if you aren't working your area, we reserve the right to unplug your site and give your territory to someone else.
- As long as you have a project that has received funding and is earning revenue and you continue to act as CEO (or assign a qualified person), and continue working with your community schools, youth and family centers and the GPP Grant Program that serves them, your commissions from your operational wind farms continue.
- You will become the CEO of the wind farms you sign up. Can't handle it? Actually its pretty easy work. If you've read about our grant programs, most of your job will involve giving money away. An actual Site Admin we train will run the day-to-day wind farm business.
- Once you're moving, you should get a business license (less than $50 in most areas) and contact a local attorney and CPA ready to work with you when your projects are funded and get them to approve you as someone they would do business with.
This isn't meant to scare you. It helps educate you about dressing up and becoming someone who knows what they are doing and being honest about potential results, risks and benefits by presenting information in a professional, straight-forward manner. At no time do we pressure landowners; we encourage them to sign with us because we pay the highest royalties in the industry and donate a huge amount to local schools and youth programs.
- We don't really like dealing with pushy sales people. The landowners we shake hands with are generally honest folks who want to do business with honest Reps. If that's your style, you're in.
- One last thing: you will need a working computer and printer before you sign up. It doesn't have to be new, in fact usually older PCs that can go online work out better; you don't need anything fancy. Plan on getting a cheap digital camera and a scanner as soon as you have signed contracts.
How long will it take before you have signed contracts? Sometimes in your first month, but more likely in your second or third month you'll be one busy beaver shaking hands, talking to landowners and meeting their attorneys (yes, that is part of the deal too).
Don't worry. The Land Owners will be trying to stuff you with Fried Chicken and the Attorneys will be trying to get you to lease their land too. That's usually how it works.
RISKS:
- No pay or compensation. You own your own firm and work for yourself. There is no revenue for you until your projects are funded.
- Don't quit your day job. It can take years to obtain community support and permits, funding, a Power Purchase Agreement and complete other steps to get your wind farm operational.
- If you mail us a lease and its missing items (i.e. photos, maps etc.) you will have to go back and get the items and send them to us. This can be frustrating for new Reps.
BENEFITS:
- You set your own hours: we suggest you work at this part time. Don't quit your day job.
- We pay 20% of the net profits to the Field Rep who signed the lease. If you have a State Rep over you, you will have to give them 20% of your share each year. Their job is to train you and insure your leases are complete and after checking your work, forward the documents to our corporate office compliance department.
- MORE EXAMPLES OF THE MATH: lets assume a 100 MW wind farm (about 65 towers at $5.5M each) or $360 million for the entire facility. If it takes 12 years to pay off, or about $30M per year and if our net profit during debt service is 10% of that or $3M, then you would receive 20% of that or about $600K. After debt service is complete, the equation changes and our net profit could be as much as 80% of $24M, in which case you would receive about $4.8 million per year for the life of the project.
- Need money right away? We also offer small-wind products for landowners who want smaller wind generators; i.e. to drive a well-pump or lights in a barn. You can earn some money selling these products while you're waiting for your megawatt wind farm projects to recieve funding. We've seen $8000 per month earned selling WindGenZen small wind generator systems.
