POLLUTION AWARENESS AND CORRECTIVE MEASURES:

In today's environmentally conscious society, wind turbines make sense and Gold Pact Power is developing small, medium and megawatt wind farms both in the U.S. and overseas.

In many regions, pollution from conventional power generating stations has caused widespread illness to the surrounding communities. In San Francisco's Hunter's Point, a community action groups successfully sued PG&E for damage from the generating station located a few blocks from their residential area. Many communities face similar, if not more severe threats to their health.

While visiting an island nation, in addition to meeting with their Congress to discuss wind farms, we sat with U.S. Naval Environment Engineers who were studying the reef and why it was dying. Pollution from the local golf courses and associated runoff were found to be a primary cause. Runoff from creeks fed by residential pollution, defective sewage lines and beach shoreline pollution all contribute to the problem.

IBI-BIO.COM

IBI was one of the first affiliates we added to our "Recommended List" of chemical suppliers for communities seeking ways to reduce and eliminate pollution from stream and river runoff. Many firms out there promise to deliver 'clean, nontoxic' soil conditioners, degreasers and bio-degradable products and while many of them may be good, IBI is one of the best.

  • Applied Materials, makers of many of the IC-CHIPS used in cellphones and computers switched to IBI after performing a variety of tests on cleaners. IBI won out.

  • Alcoa Aluminum, one of the largest metal ore processing and manufacturing companies on Earth switched to IBI cleaning products. A local restaurant our Founder visits uses an IBI degreasing product and we interviewed the County Environmental Health Coordinator to see if it really worked. She said "I wish every restaurant used that product. It is not only completely safe to the environment, it helps keep our sewers clean of petroleum pollution coming in from other sources." In our book, that was a pretty good reference.

  • The U.S. Government ran a study of a variety of chemical cleaners and soil conditioners to find the ones that could be recommended to manufacturing industries. Several products from IBI Bio made the top of the list as the best performer in those tests; again, a sterling recommendation that the products live up to their claims.

DRITEC

For some communities, heavy metals and other pollution have already reached their rivers and soils and present severe health hazards for local residents. We were approached by a company called DRITEC, who claimed their product line cleaned up these pollutants and they presented a variety of test results demonstrating the product actually does what it claims to do:

  • In New York and New Jersey, community agencies used DRITEC. It was applied to rivers with large amounts of heavy metals: after application their results showed the heavy metals and pollutants were reduced to less than 1% of original levels.

  • An Air Force base used DRITEC to reduce soil pollution: their report stated it worked.

DRITEC was in fact developed by two Air Force Chemical Engineers and while the DRITEC marketing team, literature and web site isn't as sophisticated as the people at IBI-BIO, if you have a severely polluted region and want to make contact with DRITEC to obtain samples or additional literature, please use our CONTACT PAGE and ask Terry to send you some of their literature.

There are many ways we can reduce pollution, from deploying wind power to changing the chemicals we use in our homes, in industry and in the schools where our children spend 40 hours a week or more, even changing the soil conditioners at our local golf courses.
