Land Owners want to know:

...Can I...

  • Continue to grow crops or raise cattle, horses, chickens and sheep?

The answer is YES, you can do all of those things and have a wind farm unless you are in Texas. In that case, you're not allowed to raise sheep (we don't want folks shooting at your ranch from the road), but the basic answer is yes, you can do anything around wind turbines except barn storm the blades in a bi-plane, although we understand a few of you will try. Please don't do it on GPP Wind Farms.

  • Continue using Circle Sprinklers and other farming and ranching devices.

So far, the answer is YES, YES, YES - in fact we encourage farmers to continue sowing and harvesting both bio-fuel crops and food crops. Typically you earn more with a bio-fuel crop (and you must offer GPP first right of refusal at fair market rate to GPP for any alternative fuel crops), but if you grow a food crop, its all yours.

    Sample Circle Sprinkler Map
The Answer is 125 turbines or about $8.5 million per year for the Landowner jumping to $17 million after debt service is complete and $27 million per year for local Schools, Youth and Family agencies.

  • Can I split my land up and raise my own crops and do a small test of bio-fuel crop production to see if it is more profitable or easier for me?

    You bet.

  • Can we offset the turbines a bit from the home so we don't hear any hum?

Yes. Typically a HUM is heard within 100-200 yards of a field, depending on which way the wind blows (sound carries further downwind). The sound has been measured as being 'quieter' than a bedroom at night. A tick-tock wind-up clock is likely to make more noise.

However, if you have a home, barn or other structure you want to isolate from the turbines, let us know when you sign your lease.

Note: if your land is too small, you will need to either combine it with a neighbor's lease or increase the turbine area.

Also note: Gold Pact Power strongly encourages land owners to 'partner up' with neighbors to form cooperatives. Ask us how.

  • Continue with an oil and gas lease?

    Yes. We understand.

  • How do I get paid?

Land owners always get paid based on the gross revenue - no deductions - no complex formula - very simple.

Gold Pact Power pays the highest royalties to land owners in the business. Before signing a lease anywhere, do the math on our web site and count literally TENS OF MILLIONS of dollars (in some cases, hundreds of millions) more with a Gold Pact Power lease.

  • What happens to the rest of the money?

We pay off the turbines, write payroll checks and buy parts and grease for the generators.

Gold Pact Power is the only firm that also donates 20% of our net profits back to your local schools, youth and family agencies. Any lease, besides a Gold Pact Power lease is second best.
